Myth: Testosterone causes prostate cancer.
Facts: Testosterone has not been proven to cause prostate cancer. 1 In fact, men with low testosterone are actually at an increased risk for prostate cancer. 2 Even the theory that testosterone supplementation can speed the growth of already existing prostate cancer remains unproven.
